Why

Why are we doing this? Three reasons come to mind:

A reluctant concession on the part of one of us – the realities of technological change are such that if one wants to have read what one has written, websites are the place to place them (at least, initially).

Technology speaks to method; it doesn't really answer the question why. As to that, prison is about walls, about separation; everything the two of us have sought to create these past several years has meant discovering ways to chip away at the walls. This website is one means to that end.

Thus posted here is a glimpse of observations, experiences, comments, analyses of ways of living that embrace many, yet are hidden to most by those walls. As well, what is included on this website is writing that steps outside the box of prison experience. Breaking down walls also means that neither of us intends to be reduced to solely what the reality of living with prison entails.
